Are you really getting that much Spam? I love reading all of your blogs and I like to leave comments to show my support and put in my two cents, but I absolutely HATE having to solve these CAPTCHA puzzles every single friggin time. It's really annoying, and it hurts my eyes to try to figure out the nonsensical word in the monotone graphic. Seriously, I know I'm not a robot but some of these puzzles can be perplexing.
Just now I had to type in "cutalex" before leaving a comment on one of my fellow bloggers' entries. "Cut Alex?" Is that a threat, or a request?
It would be cool to solve a real problem, an actual puzzle, instead of trying to discern one jumbled and obscured letter from another. I'm not talking about puzzles like "if a train leaves Baltimore at 4 PM traveling at 56 miles an hour how many bananas will the monkey in steerage eat during the trip?" but something fun and not retina twisting.
Anyway. It's tedious for your dedicated readers to do these puzzles and I hope you remove them. I don't have one on my page and I RARELY get any spam. Please, take my advice. If you do, let me know and I'll give you a million Tasty Kakes!! Or maybe I'll just send you a virtual hug :)

UGH i HATE captchas with a passion! Pointless in my opinion.
I got so much old spam on my blog it was insane!

I have other types of spam filters in action, thankfully. :) But some of these that turn up on other people's blogs are HILARIOUS.
Agreed. So annoyong and sometimes enough to make me close the window instead of completing the comment.
Actually I get at one spam every time I post something. Weird. Do you have to CAPTCHA whenever you comment my blog?
AMEN, that is why I have WORDPRESS since once they recognize you it posts immediately, and any new poster goes for approval.
