Cherry on top, and life's regrets.

I won an award! A MAJOR AWARD!

Okay, I didn't get a lamp, but I did receive some very distinguished and honorable recognition of this blog. I couldn't be more thrilled. Only two months ago this blog was getting zero hits, and now I have over fifty followers. I really am taken aback-- in a good way!

Here it is. It's called the Cherry on Top Award, for beautiful blogs with that little bit extra, and it was given to me by Tasha over at Random Musings of an overactive imagination. I really am flattered!

In order to accept this award I have to do three things, and if you receive the award you have to do these three things, too. Or I'll come looking for you. I'm not kidding.

1) Answer this question that Tasha posed: "If you had the chance to go back and change one thing in your life, would you and what would it be?"

2) Pick six people to pass the award on to. Their blog should be truly deserving.

3) Thank the person who gave you the award, in the form of a comment on this post.

Yeah, it's a little like a chain letter, but it's fun and easy and a nice way to promote your friends' blogs.

If I could go back and change anything in my life, what would it be? That's a good question, and not an easy one to answer. I, like many people, have made a good deal of mistakes in the past, either while intoxicated or not thinking first, that I think about going back and changing. Everyone does some dumb sh*t when they're young. It's what we're supposed to do-- we make mistakes so that we can learn from them.

So when I really think about it, I really have no regrets. I am happy where I am right now, honestly. Maybe I could have paid more attention in school. I could have been nicer to some people that I should have been nice to, and I could have dismissed and not trusted some of the bad people I thought I could trust. But when it comes down to it, I don't think any of that would make a difference. I am who I am because of the decisions I've made and I'm okay with that. I don't need to go back to the past to alter some grand life-changing decision-- at least not now, anyway.

What do you think? Would you change anything about your past, or do you live life regret-free?

And now for my list of six outstanding bloggers I'm passing this award on to:

Jen at Freckle on the Nose of Life's Complexion
Mei at Diary of a Fair Weather Diver
Suki at Super Duper Fantastic
Emily at Without Obsession Life is Nothing
Miss Smartypants at Happy Dying Sun

Check these ladies out! Seriously! They're all regular bloggers with cute sites and a lot to say! Let's do a few more exclamation points!!!!!

...Oh yeah, that feels good. Hope you're having a lovely Thursday :)

And Suki, I'm sorry, I didn't even think that some people might not like those creepy illustrations. I will post a warning next time!!

Thank you so much, Tsaritsa! So awesome of you to think of me!

Congrats on your well-deserved award, too!!

I can so relate to perhaps wishing I could change some little things while still having no regrets. It's a good feeling to have!

Thanks again. :)

P.S. In college, one of my roommates dove into a department store dumpster, retrieved a mannequin leg (from the panty hose section of the store), and recreated the leg lamp. It was 100% awesome.
