I think at one point I even started employing the technique from High Fidelity-- start off with a song that grabs the listener, then bring it down a notch with the next song, and then take bring them right back up again. Well, that was my technique anyway.
This is a very special KROD because I am hosting Sara of Sara Swears A Lot on my blog! Sara just so happens to be the lovely lady who brings all of us bloggers together every month with this event-- she organizes it, makes sure everyone has their videos up, and let's not forget that she started this whole thing and has kept it going. Major props! Sara is also one of the most genuine bloggers I have had the pleasure to get to know, and the fact that she's rapping Fergie this month makes her all the more awesome. We also both did "the robot" in our videos. You truly do rule, lady!
If you want to see me rapping to the Beastie Boys and making funny voices, please go to Jes Getting Started and check me out there. Jes is also another one of those bloggers that I am so happy I got to know better. And you definitely need to also watch Jes' video where she raps Jay-Z, Ja Rule, and Amil-- with wardrobe changes! But enough of my yammering, here's Sara!
I'm so happy to be on Alexandra's blog for this month's Karaoke Ring of Death. The theme for this month was songs from your high school mix CD. So of course I chose the song that I worked hard to memorize in order to look awesomely hip in front of my friends. I was so cool, y'all.
I cringed the entire time I watched this karaoke video. And I only watched it once, because it was just too painful to get through again. I was about to cut it up and edit the shit out of it, but it really wasn't worth sitting through it over and over again.
Also, for the longest time ever, I thought my robot dancing skillz were badass. I pull out the robot moves all the fucking time. And after seeing them on camera? Uh... notsomuch. I told Andy to remind me NEVER to attempt the robot in public again. Let Down City: Population 1.
Make sure to come by my blog to check out Erin's karaoke video, because she's amazing and her vlogs are always some of my favorites. Happy karaoke-ing!
