Anonymous email raises the stakes (with an iPod) for passion giveaway

Due to a mysterious anonymous email I received last week, I have a very special and important announcement regarding the giveaway, which you can still enter, and should!

I'm not sure who the person behind this email is though I have my suspicions (the email address they used, "PrettyPurplePassions@gmail," seems like it was created specifically for this exchange).

The anonymous emailer says that they're a fan of this blog and it seems like they really just want to help out, which I guess is good enough for me.

The email is as follows:

Dear Tsaritsa,

I got really excited to see what the blogosphere had to offer up re: your contest and watched patiently... and patiently... and patiently... and was disappointed to see so little enthusiasm for such an awesome contest. I liked that one entry with the girl who wrote about loving art and books and old movies, but so far it is the only good entry. Out of two. Those are not good odds for a giveaway. That video that guy made was pretty lame. I mean, who wants to listen to poetry these days anyway? Can't the internet do better than one dorky poet on a green couch?

To up the ante, I'm sending you this iPod to add as a prize for your giveaway. I want to see more people participate. I know your address because you sent me a zine last year with an SPCA sticker that had your address on it, so don't be surprised when the FedEx package arrives.

Sincerely,
Your faithful follower.

All right, all right. I was a little freaked, to say the least, when I got this email last week. Even though they poked fun at Charles' vlog entry, the email seems genuine, and I'm assuming whoever sent this is a relatively normal person who enjoys this blog and the zine. For that, I am grateful. I am even more grateful that someone would be invested enough to offer to help out with my passion project.

You're probably thinking that this anonymous follower is either a thief or works at a pawn shop (or both), or perhaps it's some rich asshole with too much time on their hands. You'd probably be correct. Despite my insisting that they didn't, they went along and sent me this gunmetal gray iPod which is totally functional, although cracked across the corner of the screen.

It arrived in the mail today. Since it's already in my possession, I really have no choice but to abide their request and offer the device along with the little monsters and collages (which are way cooler, in my opinion, but people love gadgets-- even ones with small cracks in them).

So get crackin! In order to win 1) one of Evy's little monsters, 2) a personalized collage made by yours truly, and 3) one gently used iPod, just write up a blog post (or record a vlog) about your passion in life-- what brings you the most joy. I want to know! It's inspiring to me! Five lucky bloggers will receive a handmade little monster and a collage, and the most compelling entry will receive the iPod. What are you waiting for?!
